Nick

Nick was born in the blizzard-choked wasteland of Alaska, where he developed a keen taste for fish sticks, fruit cocktail, whale blubber, and miniature totem pole key chains. In 1988 he moved to Honolulu where he mastered vulcanology, the surfing sciences, and worked briefly as a pineapple shucker for Dole (remember the keen taste for fruit cocktail?). Somewhere between the arctic night and the tropical heat lay Seattle (coincidentally also smack in between Everett and Tacoma, two of the most popular destinations for American travelers outside the lower 48), where Nick was to find himself marooned for most of his awkward adolescence. Tempered by coffee and rain, Nick developed a wet, acidic sense of humor that served him well during his 6 year gambit as a professional trombone player in San Francisco. A brief stay in Rotterdam yielded the epiphany that the classical trombone biz was on it's way out, so Nick decided to hightail it back to the states and thrust himself into his other passion: writing. Writing turned out to be schlepping memos for a massive Chinese printing conglomerate (think "The Office" only in Beijing, not Scranton, PA), but has since turned into a globe-trotting, book publishing enterprise which Nick might just continue doing until the next sloppily-penned chapter of his life on Earth starts writing itself. *biography may be hastily written for reasons of expedience (dot commmmmmmm!)
