We know you never slack off at work, but if you did, what would you do?
I would go ahead and venture that vox, similar social networking avenues, and blogs in general, would cease to exist without wired humanity's collective slackitude. The fact that this obviousness made it to QotD status is humorous to me; we're all slacking RIGHT NOW, we were most likely slacking when we read the QotD, and I (by which I mean the royal "we") am definitely slacking by taking the time to write a reply when I should be trying to douse the half dozen fires that are raising my blood pressure this morning at work.
Fact: Publishing raises one's blood pressure.
So it was 19 degrees this morning, which I found out means that both my car doors were frozen shut, allowing me a rare opportunity to enter and exit my Volvo Dukes of Hazzard style through an open window. It was never 19 degrees in Hazzard county, though, as far as I know.
Despite all the slacking, work still does manage to get done. If I really needed a slack day, I'd be reporting in sick and taking a "me" day to sleep on the couch in front of Maury Povich's disingenuous smile.
Sure, most sequels stink, but what movie really needs a sequel?
Shaun of the Dead. I've posted about this in the past. Do you hear me, movie producer people? Can't you see when you've got a good thing going? The guys that made Weekend at Bernie's knew it, why can't you?
What's something that you're really proud of, which most people in your life don't know about?

I got to perform Prokofiev's 5th symphony at the Moscow Conservatory in Moscow, where Prokofiev himself conducted the premier exactly 50 years earlier. That orchestra tour with the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra was too much fun.
Really I'm proud of most of my musical career and education, even though it's been dormant for the last several years.
Congrats - TIME Magazine voted you "Person of the Year"! What's your acceptance speech?
I think somebody who carries a lot of water over at Time Magazine is a tried and true Lebowski fan. At least I hope so, because if they're not, then their bold statement is woefully unoriginal.
Are you throwing or attending a holiday party this year? Any ideas/tips to share?
Don't bother going.
Spend your evening having a relaxing, spirited time with your closest contemporaries and avoid the insincerity of a holiday party you only sort of wanted to go to anyway. You'll have way more fun. I don't mean to sound grinchy, but really, do something holiday-ish that doesn't require a week's worth of planning or a fancy cocktail dress or the feigning of interest in the petty lives of your coworkers -- you can't lose.
What's your favorite music for a Sunday morning?
Submitted by Nick.
I think I submitted this question last Sunday while listening to KEXP's Sunday morning show, "Preachin the Blues." It's not just blues, though, so don't be intimidated if you're one of these "I'm just not sure if I even like Muddy Waters" types like me. They've got gobs of SOUL music, the kind you'd be hard pressed to track down at most record stores; the kind that invigorates your spirit with sunshine even though the lyrics are usually pretty
It's Seattle's Hangover show, but really, it's the internet's hangover show, since you can easily check out KEXP online and listen whenever you want. If you're in town it's 90.3 on the FM dial, but since most of you aren't local I'm guess, I recommend tuning in on the radio immediately and at least catching the last hour of the show.
You've never had your tired spirits lifted so much :)

You think people are really going to admit peeing their pants?
What's your method for calculating a tip?
1/10 of the bill x 2 for a 20% tip all the time, unless the service was really bad, and then I'll drop it down to between 10% or 15%, and really punish the establishment by writing a scathing flameview on Citysearch.
